CSP certified staging

Home staging for the buyer who will love it

Amanda Funk is CSP® Home Staging Certified. She stages and paints the same rooms, in Edmonton and North Vancouver, so colour and furniture are decided together.

Chapter 01

Staging done by someone certified to do it

The Painter Lady is CSP® Home Staging Certified, and that credential is why staging sits on this site next to painting rather than as an afterthought. Amanda Funk walks into a room as a stager first: where the eye lands from the doorway, what the light does at four in the afternoon, which wall is doing too much and which is doing nothing.

Her own line for the work is that The Painter Lady changes the game in home staging. In practice that means a house in Edmonton or North Vancouver gets looked at the way a stranger will look at it, and the decisions that follow come from that view.

Staging starts from the stager's view of the room, not from a fixed checklist. The decisions that follow are made for the buyer who will walk in, in the light the room actually has.

A room built for the person who will love it

The stated aim is to create an environment for the person who will LOVE it and make it theirs. Love at first sight. That is a different brief from decorating for yourself, and it changes the questions: who walks through this door next, and what do they need to picture?

A staged room should leave space in it. Furniture sits where people would naturally put it, colour supports the architecture instead of competing with it, and the fireplace, the window or the stair gets to be the thing you notice.

The goal is a home that feels beautiful and lived in at once, one that someone wants to live in, without a single corner that reads as a showroom set.

Chapter 03

Paint and staging as one job, with one person

Most staging handoffs involve a painter, then a stager, then a second round of corrections when the new colour fights the sofa. Here Amanda paints and stages, so the wall colour is chosen with the staged room already in mind and the two never disagree.

A fresh coat on the walls sets the base. The palette then flows from room to room, the same collaborative approach as a colour consultation, so the hallway, the living room and the bedroom read as one house.

If you are weighing a repaint, a staging, or both, call Amanda at (587) 989-2250. Colour consultations are free when using painting services, and all estimates are free.
