Colour, chosen together
Colour consultation that starts in your own rooms
Choosing paint colour is a difficult task, and it goes better with someone beside you. Amanda Funk and The Painter Lady consult on colour for homes in Edmonton and North Vancouver, one room at a time and then as a whole house.
The site visit comes first
Amanda describes her approach to colour as collaborative. She starts by visiting the site, so she can become acquainted with you and your space before a single swatch is chosen.
A sample card in a shop cannot show how a wall behaves in your light, next to your floors, at your time of day. Standing in the room can. That is why the visit is the first step, whether the home is in Edmonton or North Vancouver.

Fixed elements, and the things you love to display
Once she knows the space, Amanda integrates your vision into a fine-tuned colour palette. She considers the fixed elements, such as flooring, cabinetry and stonework, along with the belongings you love to display, and selects the paint colours that tie it all together.
No vision? Don't worry! She can provide that as well. The look might be ultra contemporary, quiet and pared back, an eclectic variety of colours, or simply elegant. Her finished rooms run from a deep teal nursery wall to terracotta and navy, so the range is wide.
If you would like to talk it through first, Amanda's number is (587) 989-2250.
A palette that flows from room to room
The aim is a harmonious flow of colours within your home, one that speaks to you, your family and your guests. Colours are chosen as a set, so the hallway, the living room and the bedroom read as one house rather than three separate decisions.
Colour consultations are free when The Painter Lady does the painting, and all estimates are free. The palette Amanda builds with you goes straight into the repaint, applied by the same person who helped choose it.
